There could be no better setting than Bavaria’s colourful holiday city for the unrivalled revelry to be enjoyed at the greatest beer and fun festival in the world – often imitated, but never bettered!

Why not go on the first weekend this year and watch the grand opening parade on Saturday morning, 19th September? The breweries with their horse-drawn carriages and various folk groups in traditional costumes parade through the streets of Munich to finish at the Theresienwiese, and the Beer Festival is under way.

From “Ozapft is” – “It’s tapped” until the last Ma (1L beer mug), Munich becomes the centre of fun for the world. This makes the Oktoberfest a great family occasion and it’s a common sight to see all the family together enjoying the carnival atmosphere.
